TROY AVE - DEAR HATER I WON “TAXSTONE FOUND GUILTY” (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Daryl Campbell, known as Taxstone, the host of a hip-hop podcast, has been found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, one count of assault in the second degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree by a New York State Supreme Court jury. The charges relate to a 2016 incident at T.I.'s concert in New York City's Irving Plaza, where Campbell shot and killed a man and injured others.
The incident arose from a dispute between Campbell and rapper Troy Ave. Troy Ave was wounded, and his bodyguard was killed in the shooting, while two others were also shot. Troy Ave sued the venue and Live Nation over inadequate security, and fans in attendance sued the venue, alleging they were trampled amid the chaos after shots were fired.
In a statement, District Attorney Alvin Bragg said, "Daryl Campbell was convicted of killing a man and shooting three others during a tragic and deadly confrontation in a packed New York City music venue. In addition to seriously injuring his rival and killing his rival's bodyguard, Mr. Campbell shot innocent bystanders and put hundreds of other lives at risk. We will vigorously prosecute anyone who commits this type of deadly violence." Campbell's sentencing is scheduled for April 19.
